The story of the house, my story
The house was built in 1754, as evidenced by the inscription on the facade.
This house has been in my family since the early 20th century — it was my great-grandfather who restored it. I never had the chance to know him. It is a house that then belonged to my grandmother Suzanne, who watched my mother and my aunt grow up here in the 1950s and 60s, and where I have many memories from my childhood and teenage years.
In 2020, following my grandmother’s passing, and while I was reflecting deeply on my professional future, I decided to buy the house from her daughters (my mother and her sister) and renovate it in my turn.
I chose to leave the Paris region and my job (learning and development manager at a training centre) to retrain and move into running a gîte and bed & breakfast.
The renovation work took place from 2020 to 2022.
I am deeply attached to this family home and now look forward to welcoming you and sharing it with you.
